The construction on L Tower has been powering ahead at 1 Front Street East, and with so many units sold its success is undeniable. The final design of L Tower, however, has been shrouded in mystery. Original renderings of the building portrayed a prominent ‘boot’ shape at the tower base, a unique feature that had many condo enthusiasts talking. According to Urban Toronto, some new developments have taken place. Rather than the proposed curved design of the lobby section, an “unexpected pair of angled columns” have emerged. Indeed, the L Tower plan has been completely updated, with the lower southwest corner of the bulding now featuring a sleek, triangular design rather than the previous curvature. Fans of unique condo architecture needn’t worry though – with world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind at the helm, L Tower is sure to be anything but ordinary.
